After an entertaining historic tour through charming Skagway and along the breathtaking coastline, you will arrive at our ranch in Dyea. Your experienced guides will give you a safety presentation, then help you onto your very own horse! For one hour and forty-five minutes you will ride through the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park. Along the way, your knowledgeable guides will entertain you with tales from the crazed Klondike Gold Rush, such as the boom and bust of the town of Dyea. You’ll pass by some of the few remaining signs of what was once a scrambling gold rush town of 10,000, including the Slide Cemetery. Then you will ride out of the rainforest and onto the Dyea flats overlooking the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. Discover why the locals come here to view wildlife such as eagles and the salmon run. Soak in the serenity and marvel at the majestic mountains, streams, and Alaskan wildflowers. This adventure is sure to invigorate those who have been lured to Alaska by tales of its spectacular and inspiring beauty. After the ride, relax with your guides as you enjoy refreshments and Alaskan salmon pate. Reflect on your serene adventure during the scenic drive back to town.
