Travel to prime whale and wildlife viewing areas on board our 6-passenger motorboat. Explore remote waters and spot wildlife by kayak, accompanied by your naturalist/guide. Discover the natural history of the Inside Passage and revel in fantastic mountain and glacier views . Recharge with hearty snacks, including smoked salmon dip and kelp salsa. We do not guarantee whale or wildlife sightings: This is wild Alaska! Federal regulations require us to maintain a distance of 100 yards from any marine mammal. Kayak Restrictions: Our kayaks can accommodate a maximum torso (waist-chest) diameter of 55 inches (140cm). Maximum weight limit is 600lbs (272kg) for double kayaks. People taller than 6’2″ (188cm) find operating the rudder challenging, as the pedals only adjust to a certain maximum distance; however, people as tall as 6’8″ have been able to paddle our kayaks. All Clients will be outfitted in double kayaks and must know how to swim. Clients should be able to confidently paddle for up to 2 hours. Menu includes dairy, fish, shellfish, gluten, and nuts. Participants must inform ABAK of all dietary issues or restrictions, whether that is food allergies or being gluten free etc. We can accommodate gluten-free and some vegetarian but do not advise this tour for anyone with severe food allergies. Due to the inherent risks involved in this type of tour, pregnant guests are not permitted to participate. This trip operates in all weather conditions (barring unsafe conditions, to be determined by the operator) – We can’t stress enough how important it is to dress appropriately. WAIVER FORM: Every participant on the trip must sign a waiver form at the start of the trip. Alterations and/or deletions to the waiver are not permitted. This excursion operates in all weather, please dress in layers.
